Pork ribs, BBQ glaze
Slow-roasted, then glazed with beer, whisky or sweet-and-spicy.

A door into a different kind of evening. Fire-cooked barbeque, whisky gathered from across the world, and a room where time slows down a little.

It has been more than two decades since I moved from Germany to Romania. That was my first contact with business here, and it was also when the dream of building something of my own in Romanian food and hospitality began to take shape.
The restaurant side always appealed to me most, because I take real pleasure in being certain of the quality we serve. To me, the finest thing on earth is being able to offer people food that is good, clean and full of flavour.
Today that dream is called Next Door — a place in Piața George Enescu with a calm, particular atmosphere where time slows down just enough to let you enjoy it. Because we care about detail and about the history of this building, we kept as much of its story as we could. It became not simply a restaurant, but a home for everyone who crosses the threshold.
I look forward to welcoming you into our world.
We cook simply and properly, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients: ribs given plenty of time over the fire, burgers made in house, and Romanian classics alongside dishes with a modern European accent.
